Here in New Mexico, the daffodils are up. The flowers shown have a head start. They are in a flower bed in front of a west-southwest facing solid block wall. The flower bed gets full sun all afternoon and enjoys a lot of light and heat reflected from the wall. In addition, the block wall radiates heat during the night.
Your spring flowers may not have the advantage of a wall reflecting and radiating heat. The daffodils in our yard do not either, but they have bravely put up their heads and may bloom late next week. I hope your spring flowers are on the way to cheer you up.
Do not forget to check my website. I have a quiz about New Mexico on the site. Perhaps, you my need to do some research, but you should be able to answer the questions. Well, one question may be a little difficult for “outsiders”, but the rest should be easy enough to look up. The reward is free books for those with correct answers. Consolation prizes of discounts will be awarded to those who get at least half the answers right.
Have fun with the quiz.
I can not send e-books, but will send paperbacks of any of my books published in that form. This includes my latest book, an action novel that critiques managed health care. What, you don’t know about my latest book? Watch the trailer here.
